Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (hereinafter, "these Terms") set forth the conditions for using "NovelShaft" (hereinafter, "the Service"), a novel-writing support platform provided by Amano System Lab (hereinafter, "the Company"). Users (hereinafter, "Users") are required to agree to these Terms before using the Service.

1. Scope

These Terms apply to all relationships between Users and the Company regarding the use of the Service. The Company may establish separate provisions (hereinafter, "Individual Provisions"), regardless of name, relating to the Service. These Individual Provisions shall form part of these Terms.

2. User Registration

Persons wishing to use the Service shall apply for registration in accordance with the method prescribed by the Company, agreeing to these Terms, and registration is deemed complete when approved by the Company. If the Company deems any of the following circumstances applies to the applicant, the Company may refuse the application. If any such circumstances come to light after approval, the Company may revoke the approval.

  • Submitting false information
  • Applicants who have previously violated these Terms
  • Any other cases deemed inappropriate by the Company

3. Account Management

Users shall manage their Service account at their own responsibility. Users shall not, under any circumstances, transfer or lend their account to a third party, or share it with a third party. The Company assumes no responsibility for any damages resulting from the Company's treatment of an activity as the User's, provided the login information matches.

4. Creation and Posting of Content

Users guarantee that they have lawful rights to, or proper permission for, any novels, settings, images, and all other information (hereinafter, "User Content") created or saved in the Service. Content that violates laws or public order, or infringes on the rights of third parties, is strictly prohibited.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All trademarks, logos, programs, designs, text, images, etc. related to the Service belong to the Company or the rightful owner of such rights. In principle, rights to User Content created on the Service belong to the User. However, the Company may internally use and reference such content without disclosing it publicly—without obtaining prior permission from the User—for the purpose of improving or promoting the Service.

6. Prohibited Actions

Users shall not engage in the following actions when using the Service:

  • Activities that violate laws or public order
  • Activities that infringe on third-party copyrights, trademarks, privacy, or other rights
  • Unauthorized access or use of another user's account
  • Interference with the operation of the Service
  • Activities that cause disadvantage or harm to the Company or third parties
  • Other activities deemed inappropriate by the Company

7. Suspension of Use and Deregistration

If a User violates these Terms or if the Company deems the User's actions inappropriate, the Company may, without prior notice, suspend or terminate use, revoke registration, or delete the User's content. In such cases, the Company will not be liable to the User in any way.

8. Changes, Interruptions, and Terminations of Service

The Company may change, add, suspend, or terminate all or part of the Service with prior notice to the User. The Company assumes no responsibility for any damages to Users or third parties caused by these actions.

9. Handling of Personal Information

The Company shall handle the personal information of Users obtained through the use of the Service in accordance with our "Privacy Policy."

10. Disclaimer

The Company does not explicitly or implicitly guarantee that the Service is free of factual or legal defects (including safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, or effectiveness, but not limited to these). The Company bears no responsibility for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use of the Service. However, if the contract in question is deemed a consumer contract and the Company causes damages through willful misconduct or gross negligence, this disclaimer does not apply.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by Japanese law. If a dispute arises in connection with the Service, the Shizuoka District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
