Choose Japanese or English on the public site and Web app
The public site and Web app are now available in English. The English home and features pages also show the real English interface using a fictional work created only for the screenshots.
You can change the display language before signing in. When you continue from the English public site to registration or login, the English selection follows you. After signing in, you can change the display language in Preferences. Account messages for registration, password resets, and verification are also sent in Japanese or English according to the account language.
New works start in the current display language
When you create a new work, NovelShaft records the current display language as that work’s language. An English work uses English-specific behavior for consultation, search, word counts, read-aloud, typography, and export. Existing works and their content are not changed.
Account and app preferences are easier to understand
Display language and AI behavior now live together in Preferences. Account settings focus on identity, login methods, and security. The login screen shows only the methods that are actually available, and presents Google and Apple in the same format when each provider is enabled.
Author blocking has ended
The author-blocking feature is no longer available. You can still report a public work or author, and you can continue to report an inappropriate AI response.
