See your progress and return to your next story
NovelShaft now opens with a dashboard where you can review your writing progress. It brings together your current project count, manuscript-save days and save counts from the latest 14 days after tracking began, and recently changed works.
For works with a body goal set in the manuscript editor, the dashboard also shows the current body length, the amount remaining, and the completion percentage. You can review daily manuscript saves and body changes, choose the story you want to continue, and resume writing from the same screen.
Support, Terms, Privacy, and cookie settings now live on the dashboard, separate from everyday account actions.
Account language and preferences now match their purpose
Account language—the language used for menus and guidance—has moved to Account Settings. Saving Japanese or English now applies the chosen language to the interface without changing the language of your works.
In Preferences, app appearance and AI settings now share one Save action. We removed duplicated headings and save controls so it is clearer what will change and how to confirm it.
Vertical writing and usage history are easier to review
In vertical manuscript view, the mouse wheel now advances horizontally through the columns. Selecting a manuscript block from the outline places it at the right-hand reading start. We also reduced outline padding to leave more room for the manuscript.
In Plan & AI usage, usage history now spans both columns on wider screens so that entries have more room.
Published works now follow manuscript order
We fixed layouts where the table of contents could overlap a published work. Headings and body sections now appear in manuscript order, and long headings and passages wrap within the page. We also removed the unnecessary uppercase label above the work title.
Login now keeps your language and lets you choose an account
We fixed an issue where registration or login opened from the English public site could switch back to Japanese partway through the transition.
When you sign in with Google, you can now choose the Google account to use instead of being signed straight back into the previous account.
