Writing workspace editing and AI responses are now easier to manage

You can undo or redo the whole work, listen to AI replies, safely retry reply-only requests, and follow what changed more easily.

Undo or redo the whole work

The writing workspace now includes Undo and Redo. Instead of tracking individual manuscript fields, NovelShaft treats headings, manuscript text, plots, reference materials, and the rest of the work as one state at each point in time.

If you stop an AI operation partway through, changes that already finished remain saved. When Undo or Redo adds a manuscript or reference material, the workspace selects it automatically and briefly changes its text color so you can see what changed.

Listen to AI replies or safely try again

AI replies now have a read-aloud button, with an option to read new replies automatically. You can adjust settings such as reading speed from Writing workspace settings in the account menu.

When the latest AI reply did not change your work, you can run the request again. The retry option is not shown when repeating the request could apply a change twice.

Follow what the AI did

The workspace now presents the AI's execution details, reply, and updated items in the order they happened. Execution details stay collapsed until you need them. We also improved cursor movement between headings and manuscript text so the editor feels more continuous.
