Reference formats that fit your material
We revised the AI's guidance to prefer an existing structured template when it fits the reference material you ask it to create. This applies beyond plots, characters, and world settings to material such as timelines, character relationship maps, and foreshadowing and payoffs.
The guidance respects explicit format choices such as Markdown and requests to preserve text exactly as written. It also tells the AI to leave undecided details open rather than inventing them to fill a template, and to preserve the current format when making a limited edit to an existing reference.
Announcement emails at registration
We removed the announcement email checkbox from the registration page. Announcement emails start enabled for new accounts. You can turn them off in settings or through the link in an announcement email.
Existing members' email preferences are unchanged.
